James Rose

Obituary of James Neal Rose

It is with great sadness we announce Jim Rose was deceased December 11, 2023.
Jim was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 7, 1957, to Arvin Neal Rose and Barbara Lee (Rodecap) Taylor. He had three brothers, Alan, Mike, and Gary and one sister Jeanette. He and his former wife Brenda Corber were blessed with two sons, Brian and Adam.
Jim was a graduate of Jefferson West High School in Meridian, Kansas. In high school he broke the schools high jump record and played a mean trumpet. He was a welder and worked with his brother at Rose Muffler Shop until becoming employed by Goodyear and served as a union steward for that company. After retiring, Jim moved to Pensacola where he was a member of the Northwest Florida HOG chapter and the Panhandle Motorcycle Riders. Jim made countless friends through these groups. Shooting pool was also one of his many passions in life. Win or lose KU Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs were dear to his heart.
Surviving Jim are his sons Brian and Adam, his brothers Gary (Karen) and Mike (Audrey) Rose, and sister Jeanette Patterson and sister- in- law Theresa Rose. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Alan.
Also surviving Jim is the love of his life, his fiancé Jill Etheridge. We traveled much of the United States, me on the back of his Harley, and Jim the tour guide. Whenever you saw a colorful doo rag in the house, Jim was with us. Saying Jim was a good man is an understatement. I vision him sitting on the back porch spotting the familiar birds and wildlife every day. We were together for seven wonderful years. I’ll see you in my dreams, my wonderful soul mate. I love you with all my heart.
Your “baby”, Jill.
Honoring Jim’s final wishes he will be cremated. His obituary will be posted by Family-Funeral and Cremation. We invite all family and friends to celebrate Jim’s life on Saturday January 20, 2024 from 2 PM till 4 PM at the Hadji Shrine Temple Warehouse located at 800 West nine mile road, Pensacola Florida.
