Obituary of Carolyn Louise Hilton

Carolyn Joiner Hilton, age 82, of Gulf Breeze, Fl. and formerly of Fairfield, Al. passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024. 

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Cranston Steven (Steve) Hilton, Jr. and her children; Steven Hilton III (Terri) and Robin Hilton. She is preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Evelyn Joiner, her daughter Rhonda Hilton Fulfer, and grandson Jason Mosley. 

She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. 

Carolyn attended Fairfield High School and was Miss Fairfield her senior year. She married Steve after graduation and was the best mom to her 3 children and all of their friends and relatives that claimed her as mom! She and Steve were known as Boss Man and Boss Lady. (Later Nana & Pops)

In 1980, they moved to Pensacola Beach, Fl. and she worked at Butlers Restaurant, Box on a Dolphin, Dolphin Chicken, and the Sand Dollar Cafe. She became Beach Mom to several and Nana to their children. Her home was an open door and everyone was always welcome.

Carolyn loved the beach, her grandchildren, and everybody. She never talked negative about anyone, and always prayed for everyone. Her only negative trait was her love for cake and no patience to wait! Lol! Those who know, know! Ha!

Those that had the opportunity to know Carolyn loved her. She will be remembered and missed by many. 

She is pain free, made new, and is partying with Jesus! If she could tell you all one thing and one thing only... She would tell you to invite Jesus into your heart and talk to Him about everything and trust and believe His Guidance in ALL things! 

Carolyn was buried at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. A Celebration of Life will be held for Carolyn at a later date.
