Obituary of Doris Louise Klauger

Doris Louise Klauger,87 of Pensacola, FL and Wilmington, NC went home on February 6, 2024 to be with her Lord and Savior after a short illness. She was born April 27 1936 in Reading, PA to Catherine (Kitty) Neidig and Ira (Snipe) Neidig. She married Lewis Klauger who preceded her in death after 50 years in union. She worked for Bell Telephone Company for a little more than a year before transferring to Royal Farms in Gordon, PA, where she worked as a bookkeep for 35 years.  She will always be remembered for her love of music and uplifting personality. She was an active member of the Eastern Star Ashland chapter, and was worth matron twice as well as district deputy. She was also an active member of Bethany Evangelized Church of Ashland, PA and St Luke United Methodist Church of Pensacola, FL.  She loved singing and was a member of the church choir for 53 years; she also sang with the Chapel Bells. She enjoyed visiting nursing homes and lonely people; sharing her faith in Christ with her angel ministry. She was a resident of the Ashland area for 76 years; a place she loved and continued to call home.

 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis; brother, David Neidig

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Nemeth and Cathryn Carlene Gibson (Keith); sister, Caorlyn Palavage; grandchildren, Hayley Nemeth and Lora Hosler; great-grandchildren, Violet, Indigo, Jude, Crew, and Hayes; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and church family.

A memorial service will be held in Ashland, NC at a later date
