Obituary of Leroy Lowe

Leroy Lowe, 89, of Pensacola, Florida passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Leroy was born on August 24, 1934 in Harlan, Kentucky to Elmer and Lahoma (Simpson) Lowe. He served in the United States Army, and also worked with General Motors and United Steel Workers.

Leroy is preceded in death by parents Elmer and Lahoma Lowe; brothers Richard Lowe, Ralph Lowe, Raymond Lowe, and Ronald Lowe; and sister Sandy Holmes.

Leroy is survived by wife Carol Lowe; daughters Mary Catherine Fire and Riqui (Michael) McCorkle; son Robert (Linda) Lowe; step daughters Lisa Lawson, Jennifer Sherman, and Susan Ramey; sister Shirly Breitenreiter, brothers Robert Lowe and Randy Lowe; as well as 17 grand children and 13 great grand children.

Leroy was an active member in his church and gave selflessly to many charities. He volunteered his time to feeding the homeless and was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Leroy’s kindness and love was felt by everyone who was blessed to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wilde Lake Church on February 19, 2024, with visitation at 10:00AM in the life center, with services to follow at 11:00AM
