Obituary of Twila Cassandra Nyland

Twila Cassandra Nyland, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother,
went to be with her Lord on March 6, 2024, in Milton, Florida. She was born on March
11, 1945, in Macon, Georgia to William and Lillian Lyons.
Twila is survived by her brother, Mark Lyons. Her three children: Angela [Dave] Weber,
Mark [Jinny] Winchell, and Ryan [Christine] Orr. She is also survived by twelve grand-
children: Krissy, Mindy, Nick, Trisha, Tina, Amanda, Norman, Tyler, Brendan, Liam, Lily,
Violet, and four great-grandchildren: Trevor, Ava, Daelyn, Ella.
Twila was preceded in death by her parents William and Lillian Lyons, and brothers,
Homer (Boots) Wade, John Lyons and William (Buddy) Lyons, II.
Twila will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.
She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Twila's life will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic
Church 3015 Roundelay Road Lynchburg, VA 24502 on March 22, 2024 with a
graveside service at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas
More Catholic Church.
