Len Delony was a wonderful fellow. He was humble and discreet as a minister, for he kept everything I told him confidential and he was a very good listener. He was also very perceptive. Len treated all congregants and non-parishioners equally. Although my Mom spoke with him more than I, Len was very empathic when I suffered persecution in my past. When I began to work with little kids and youth regularly at a non-Methodist church, I thought of Len, Rev. Dr. Lamar Smith, and three of my sister-figures as role models for how I should treat children, as I'm better with adolescents. Fortunately, I turned out better than I anticipated with Kids' Community, and I have Len partially to thank as an inspiration. My deepest condolences to his family.
