Obituary of Josephine May Campney

Mrs. Josephine May Campney (Tutie), 78 years old, of Navarre, Florida, entered Heavens gates on March 21, 2024.

Tutie was born in Albany, New York on July 9, 1945, to the late Elmer Halikias and Marian Booth.  In October of 1963 she met the love of her life, Mr. Thomas Campney, and they were married one year later, September 19, 1964, together they shared many wonderful memories.

She was a homemaker that devoted her time to her husband, two children, and grandchildren.

Tutie was proceeded in death by her parents, Elmer Halikias and Marian Booth and five brothers, Robert (Bobo) Halikias of Cohoes, NY, Richard (Richie) Halikias of Cohoes, NY, Jack Halikias of Cohoes, NY, Stanley Halikias of Waterford, NY, and Donald (Ducky) Halikias of Lancaster, CA.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Campney of Navarre, FL; son, Tommy Campney and wife Sabrina of Panama City, FL; daughter, Christina Campney of Stillwater, NY;  grandchildren that she adored, Kayla Dozois and Doug Coon of Latham, NY, Cora Lynn Dozois and Doug Pierre of Cohoes, NY, Jesse Campney of Panama City, FL, and Kinston Campney of Panama City, FL;  great-grandchildren, Aubree Ishak, Sophia Pierre, Jacob Pierre, Briella Coon and Addy Coon; brothers, Elmer Halikias of Phoenix, AZ, William (Billy) Halikias of Cohoes, NY, and Russell (Russ) Halikias of Cohoes, NY; sisters, Glenda Seeberger of Casa Grande, AZ, Anne Batchelder of Cohoes, NY, Kathy Halikias of Waterford, NY, Mary Stevens of Calhoun, GA, and Deborah Holmstedt of Waterford, NY.  As well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that she is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
