Obituary of Helen Luverne Childers
Helen L. Childers
Born 03-02-1946 Heflin, AL.
Died 07-16-2024 Milton, FL.
Helen passed away on July 16, 2024. After several months of illness, she decided she was ready to meet her Lord & Savior.
She was preceded in death by her father Jack Bryant; mother Virginia Bryant; husband Leslie Childers; son Vince Childers; and brothers John David Bryant and James Bryant.
She is survived by daughter Kimberly Brimer (Scott); granddaughters Leandra Turney (Chris), Kerry Watson (Joel), and Brianna Childers (LeRoy); brothers Arthur Bryant (Diane), and Jimmy Bryant; sister-in-law Libby; as well as eight great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephew who all loved her.
Helen was a homemaker when her children were young and occasionally worked in the restaurant industry. After her children were grown, she trained and worked as a CNA at a nursing home in Anniston, Al. She was an avid gardener, but her real love was for her family and her dog Evie. She loved Jesus, was always a good neighbor, and although she never learned to drive, she was always ready to go, and the destination didn't matter.
Forever in Our Hearts. May You Rest in Peace.
