Obituary of Gerard Anthony Watson Sr.
Mr. Gerard A. “Jody Brown” Watson’s earthly journey began on June 7, 1961, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Gerard’s heavenly voyage began on August 3, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida after a short illness. Mr. Watson received his education in the city of Biloxi. He was an avid reader with a passion for football and baseball. He was a member of the 1980 graduation class of Biloxi High School. After graduation, Mr. Watson entered the United States Air Force in 1980 and served 6 years of military service. He was a proud member of the M.W. Prince Hall Grand Masonic Lodge. He received this spiritual guidance at First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor C. M. Holloway.
Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Ms. Katie Brothers; paternal grandfather, Mr. Frank Watson; mother, Ms. Barbara Watson; Grandfather, Mr. Benderson Goudy; grandmother, Olivia Goudy.
Left to cherish the precious memories of Mr. Watson, his son Gerard A. Watson Jr. of Westerville, Ohio, brother Reginald V. Watson (Gerry) of Fayetteville, NC, a loving companion, Ms. Lorie Greathouse of Pensacola, FL, and favorite sister-in-law Lisa Thomas Jenkins of Huntsville, AL.; an aunt Geraldine Willis of Biloxi, Ms. and an uncle Philip Goudy (Billie) both of Biloxi, MS; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
