Obituary of Darwin Kenneth Story
A graveside service for Darwin Kenneth Story, 76, of Shalimar, Florida, will be held Friday, September 13th, 2024 at Beal Memorial Cemetery, in Fort Walton Beach at 10am. The family will be holding a celebration of life for all friends and family, to follow the burial at Emerald Coast Church on Jonquil Ave. in Fort Walton Beach.
Darwin was born on September 4th, 1947 in Leesburg, FL to Zennon D. Moon Story and James N. Story. He crossed over to be with his Lord Savior on August 10th, 2024.
Darwin graduated from Groveland High School in Groveland, Florida on June 2nd, 1967. He met his wife, Joy in Clermont, Florida and they quickly married in July of 1976. He went on to find his passion in traveling around the United States, doing over the road trucking jobs in 1988 and quickly gained his nickname “High pockets”. He loved to cook and draw. He was very passionate about his family and spending time with them. His grandkids were truly the apple of his eye. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Reba Story Butts and Martha Story Ludlow. Darwin is survived by his wife, Joy; children: Amy Felks, Jeremy Story and Chelsy Story; grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter, Nicholas, Paiton, and Adrayanna; Great grandchildren, Junior, Jacoby, Gwen, Rylan, and Briley.
