Obituary of Carolann Rita Karutz

Carolann Rita Haddock-Karutz, 82 years old, has been called to her heavenly home.

 

Her sunrise began at St Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, CT on November 19th, 1941.  Her sunset was on August 16th, 2024; when she passed away peacefully.

 

Carolann is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Karutz; eldest son, Thomas Kennedy, his wife, Teresa Kennedy; son, Mitchael Bartee; grandson, Jason Bartee; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Maryellen Haddock-Williams, her husband, Robert Williams; brother, Brian Haddock, his wife, Patricia Haddock; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Robert Haddock; mother, Helen Haddock; brother, Thomas Haddock; sister, Kathleen Haddock-Cotton; half-brother, Robert Haddock; half-sister, Joyce Haddock.

 

Carolann worked many jobs throughout her lifetime.  She worked in factories, waitressing jobs, Morrison's Cafeteria in Florida.  She also worked for the US Army while over seas and an Assisted Living Facility in North Carolina.  At the age of 63 years, she went to cosmetology school.

 

Carolann was known for being a Little "firecracker" with a sense of humor.  She had one of the best smiles and was loved by many.  She will be dearly missed.

 

Carolann's ashes will be spread at sea and will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery located at the US Navy Base in Pensacola, Florida.
