Obituary of Patricia Delanne Hatches

Patricia Delanne “Del” Hatches of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away peacefully, surrounded by her daughters and family on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

 

Del Was born in St. Louis, MO on Oct 10, 1951, to Don and Shirley Edwards. Del graduated from Saint Teresa Academy in East St. Louis, IL.  Where she met the love of her life, Dennis Hatches in 1968. Del and Dennis were married on November 17^th, 1973.  Together they welcomed three children, Zachary, Sara and Katie. In 1993 the family moved from the St. Louis area to the Emerald Coast, calling Fort Walton Beach and Navarre home for the last 31 years.

 

Del made a home working at ResortQuest, starting in the call center as a reservation agent. Del worked her way up in the Golf dept, package sales to working in group sales, before she retired in 2020. Del loved working on the snow bird golf tournament, and being co-chairman for the Destin St. Jude Celebrity Golf Tournament.  When Del was not at work, she loved a good estate sale or auction.

 

Del is survived by her children, Zachary (Danielle) Hatches of Mary Esther, FL, Sara (James) Weston of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Katie (Chris) Wetzel of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Stephen (Kim) Edwards and Don Edwards; Sisters, Cheri (Jerry) Edwards and Angel ( Mike) Coyle; her amazing grandchildren Ryan, Camryn and Cayden Hatches, Mason, Kaos and Hazel Weston, Lillie, Max and Keagan Rosales.

 

Del was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Shirley Edwards; sister, Rose Marie Edwards and her husband of 50 years, Dennis Hatches.

 

The family will hold a celebration of life for Del in November, back home in the St. Louis area. Del always loved a good party, so we will celebrate her then!
