"You're fine."
"I prefer moderately attractive, but I'll take it. " -Charlie
This past week I have said I'm/You're fine more then I probably should've given the circumstances. And every single time I thought of my brother. Because he wasn't there to finish my sentence.
Born Charles Michael Smith, March 19th 1990. In 1998, he joined our family and He would change his name to Micheal Oberon Beacham in 2005, when he was officially adopted by our mother, Janet Beacham.
And even though during high school and after graduation, when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and would be known as Mike to his friends; to his family, He was Charlie.
After graduating highschool, He joined the US Marine Corps. Serving 4 years, including completing a tour overseas before being honorably discharged and returning home.
When he returned home he worked odd jobs, and moved about before attending sea school, and eventually getting his Crane Operating license. Becoming a crane operator, though not his dream job, did afford him the ability to enjoy his love of travel.
No matter where his travels took him, he would make sure they included a trip to the beach. The beach was his favorite place.
It was in his travels that his plan to live on the road and head out west started to take shape. All he needed was a bus. In 2022, His dream to own a bus (Skoolie) became a reality. He would spend all of his spare time working on transforming it into the home he always wanted. Unfortunately he passed away on August 18, 2024 before seeing his dream become a reality.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Beacham.
