Obituary of Carol Margaret Allen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Margaret Allen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community. Carol, aged 85, embarked on her final journey on September 15, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida, where she resided. 

Born on July 28, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Carol was a compassionate soul with a kind heart. She was the daughter of Margaret Wilhelm and grew up alongside her siblings Jack, Jim, and Jerry Wilhelm, and her sister Wilma Roscoe. Carol pursued her education at Pensacola Junior College, where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Nursing. Education was a fundamental pillar in Carol's life. During her lifetime, Carol forged precious bonds with her family and friends. She had an unwavering devotion to her children, Mark, David, and Aaron Allen, of whom she loved unconditionally. The happiness Carol experienced in becoming a grandmother was immeasurable, and she cherished her granddaughter, Stevi Allen, with a profound affection.Carol had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed various hobbies and interests. She reveled in the company of her closest friends, siblings, children, and grandchild, finding solace and joy in their presence. In her younger years, she delighted in exploring flea markets, attending church bizarres, and uncovering treasures at garage and holiday sales. Carol also found solace in her faith, finding comfort and inspiration in the pages of the Bible.Carol was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she raised her 3 boys in faith. Carol found tremendous comfort in her spiritual community. Carol's memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the honor of sharing in her life's journey.

Carol is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Margaret Wilhelm, her adored brothers Jack and Jerry Wilhelm, her cherished sister Wilma Roscoe, and her beloved eldest son Mark Allen. Their memories will remain etched in the hearts of those who knew them.

In addition to her preceding family members, Carol is survived by her loving son David Allen of Jacksonville, Florida, her devoted son Aaron Allen of Pensacola, Florida, and her youngest brother Jim Wilhelm, who resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her compassionate spirit lives on through her grandchild Stevi Allen, who resides in Orlando, Florida. Each family member will carry Carol's love and light in their hearts.
