Obituary of Kristal Lawrence Orio
Kristal Lawrence Orio, 33, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday September 28, 2024, at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital surrounded by her heart-broken family.
She was born at Holy Family Medical Center, Angeles City, Pampanga, Republic of the Philippines on December 27, 1990. Her father was a sergeant in the US Air Force stationed at Clark Air Base and her mother was a beautiful waitress. At 6 months old, Kristal and her family were evacuated after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in June 1991 to Fort Walton Beach, where she spent the rest of her life.
Kristal is survived by her loving parents Lawrence W. and Liz O. Beat of Mary Esther FL; her former spouse Kristen Orio of Burnham PA; her adoring brothers William “Willie” L. Beat of Shalimar FL; Paul R Orio Catungal and his wife Angela Stalls of Navarre FL; her nieces Kendra Stalls and Kerra McCunegould of Navarre FL; and her 6 great nieces and nephews.
She attended Edwins Elementary, Bruner Middle School and Fort Walton Beach High School. She graduated high school from Okaloosa Academy in 2009. In her teens, she was a daredevil BMX cyclist and a skilled skateboarder.
Kristal was a gregarious free spirit – always the life of the party! She just wanted to have fun and enjoy life to its fullest. She was funny and spontaneous, bringing joy to all who knew her. She was charismatic and made friends easily. She considered all her friends as close friends, helping each and every one of them through hard times whenever they needed her support. As an organ donor, she lives on by saving the lives of five deserving souls.
She was a dedicated hard worker, having a variety of jobs and enriching experiences over the years. No matter where she worked, her coworkers adored her. For the Coca Cola Company, she stocked grocery store shelves. Then with Buffalo Rock, she stocked the shelves with Pepsi. She eventually received her Commercial Driver License and drove 18-wheelers all over the country for the Ben E Keith Company in Pensacola. She cherished those long road trip adventures visiting all corners of the country. She was also a dreamer and visionary entrepreneur with all sorts of business ideas to be explored.
Although she left us way too soon, her journey was filled with love, excitement and adventure. No matter the roadblocks or challenges – her sheer grit and fearless determination to stand tall, cleared her way to success.
Although a settling sun brings darkness, we know a place where the sun will always shine. Kristal will shine forever in our loving hearts as we treasure the good times, we all enjoyed together!
In lieu of flowers, cards, or donations, consider following Kristal’s giving heart and be an organ donor.
