Obituary of Stephen Dellavecchia

Steve DellaVecchia, 71 of Navarre, FL, passed peacefully at home on September 28, 2024.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 16, 1953 to Pasquale and Linda DellaVecchia. He graduated from Concord High school in Delaware and went on to study music under Dr. Otey at Wilmington Conservatory then to Blair School of Music in Nashville TN.  He married Sherra Ann Henderson of Laurel, MS on April 1, 1983. They resided in Nashville until 2019 before retiring to Navarre, FL to be near the beach.

Steve was a producer, composer and engineer. His love of music began at a very young age.  At five years old it was already evident he was a musical prodigy. He went on to form many of his own bands and was part of many bands throughout his career. He was the owner of Stonehenge Music of Nashville, TN for many years. His other passions besides music were martial arts, where he earned a black belt in Ishinryu. He was a member of AMORC, and a Master Mason of the Scottish Rite at the West Nashville Phoenix No. 131 Lodge in Nashville, TN. He was often referred to by his nickname “Delladamus” given to him by his best friend Jeff Noffsinger, due to many people seeking his wisdom and all-knowing insight. Steve had an indomitable spirit that will always be remembered by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his wife Sherra DellaVecchia, daughter Lindsay DellaVecchia, son Miles (Katie) DellaVecchia, grandchildren Hunter and Jordan Neprud, Brayden Rose and Emma DellaVecchia, sister Stephanie DellaVecchia Clayton and nephew Randall Sanders, In-Laws in Laurel MS, Patricia Henderson, Kim and Buddy Henderson. Longtime family friend and Co-Owner of Chaindog Productions, Jeff Noffsinger. Steve is preceded in death by his parents Pasquale and Linda DellaVecchia and brother Bruce, and also his beloved companion Gaia.

There are no funeral arrangements at this time but will have a celebration of Life in the near future in Nashville, TN.
