Obituary of Phyllis Diane Ives

Phyllis D. Ives, 71, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to Lavonia and Phillip Ives. After attending Choctaw High School, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Phyllis became one of the first women to join the Battle Creek, Michigan police Department as an officer of the law. Following her time with the police department, she became a felony probation and parole officer back home in Florida.

Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Samantha Crawford and Cassondra Wissel, as well as her eight grandchildren, Felicia Ives, Sebastian Smith, Michelle Dibble, Derek Nielsen II, Amanda Farris, Timothy Chilton, Emma Dibble and Monika Clark. Phyllis is also survived by her four great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Kerstyn, Dahlia and Zayne.
