Obituary of Dorothy Mae Ellison

Dorothy Mae Ellison, 78, departed from this earthly life on October 12, 2024, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. 

Dorothy was born on September 21, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mallory and Jennie Ellison. She graduated from Westinghouse High School before dedicating 30 years to the US Postal Service.

Dorothy was known for her infectious laughter, strong, work ethic, and her innate ability to make friends with anyone she met. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and gifted many friends and family with her creations.  She enjoyed singing, dancing, and traveling; each a testament to her spirit and creative nature.   

She is survived by her children, Doreen Abrams, Doshy Ellison, Ray-Neal Ellison, Matthew Ellison, Mallory Ellison, 11 Grandchildren & 5 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Raymond Ellison.

A service honoring Dorothy's life will be held on October 27, 2024. Her life was a beacon of joy and support to those around her and she will be dearly missed by friends, family, and all who knew her.
