Obituary of Peggy Elaine Braxton

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Peggy (Lane) Braxton has gained her angel wings.  Peggy was born on July 12, 1959 in San Diego California and passed away surrounded by those that loved her most on November 4th 2024.  Peggy was employed with General Services Administration for 39 years as a Customer Contract Manager.  After her retirement she focused on her family.  She enjoyed spending countless hours shopping with Great Niece Rozy,  traveling with her sister SherryLyn and going out to eat with her Great Nephew Tj.  She enjoyed the special times when her niece Rebecca would travel from New Orleans to Pensacola to visit.  When she was not with family she enjoyed spending her free time at the Pensacola Poker room.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Betty Braxton, her brother Gary Braxton and her lifelong friend Josie Davis.

She is survived by her sister Sherrylyn Evans and her brother Wayne (Becky) Braxton.  Her nieces Rebecca (James) Speller, Hannah (Rob) Horne, Kacy and her nephews David (Lea) Speller, Jeremy Speller, Noah Braxton and Caleb (Mary) Braxton.

She had 7 great nieces  Rozy, Izzy, Mia, Jordyn, Onna, Jasmine, and Kelly.  She had 13 great nephews Tj, Preston, Braiden, Jayden, Xavier, Anthony, Leo, Jackson, August, Harley, Ollie, Zane, and Roman.  Special Family Members Tomas Stroud and Kristie Brock.

Peggy was an inspiration to all that knew and loved her.  She was the perfect role model and the epitome of consistency, dependability and stability.  Her legacy of love, warmth and generosity will live on in those that she loved.  There was no truer sister, aunt or friend than her.

Quote:

In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there.  As you were you will always be, treasured forever in our memory.  We keep in our hearts the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last.  Your presence we miss, your memory we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.
