Obituary of Benjamin Lee Godwin

Benjamin Lee Godwin, 35 of Freeport, FL passed away on December 5th, 2024.  He was born in Pensacola, FL on October 6th, 1989 to Edward Godwin and Patricia Meeks.  He was married to his wife Jessica on December 6th, 2009.

Lifelong resident of Freeport, FL he was a dedicated employee of GreenWorks who excelled with his work. He was an avid fisherman, boater and outdoorsman who felt at home in nature or on the water.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends he was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Godwin and son Wyatt of Freeport, FL; Brothers and Sisters, Frank Grant, wife Jennifer of Freeport, FL, Brenda Fielding, husband Sean of Vernon, FL, Jeff Grant, wife Dawne of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Sara Godwin of Freeport, FL, Thomas Godwin, wife Brittany of Freeport,FL and Rebecca Pinkham of DeFuniak Springs, FL, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his Father, Edward Godwin on February 21st, 2024; Mother, Patricia Pinkham on March 15th, 2008, surviving husband Richard Pinkham; and sister, Angel Humphreys on September 17, 2021, surviving husband Randy Humphreys.

Visitation will be held December 21st, 2024 for family starting at 10:00 AM with Pastor Blake officiating at Heritage Church 926 county highway 83A W Freeport, FL followed by laying him to rest in Black Oak Cemetery. Please follow the procession to the cemetery.
