Obituary of Ella Amendia Wallent
Ella Wallent, born March 9, 1949, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, in Gulf Breeze, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Ella was the beloved wife of Michael Wallent, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Together, they raised a beautiful family filled with enduring love and cherished memories.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Wallent; her children, Deborah Wallent and Scott Wallent; her loving sister, Shelia Puritt; and her cherished niece, Sherry Oliver, along with other beloved nieces and nephews. Ella was a proud and doting grandmother to Erika Yancey, Mike Spillers, Andrew Ingrassia, Rebecca Wallent, Samantha Wallent, and Andrea Wallent, as well as a treasured great-grandmother to six wonderful great-grandchildren.
Ella was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie Crowder and Sonnie Crowder, and her sisters, Revonda Gifford, Francis Godsey, and Flona Bettis. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who brought warmth, wisdom, and compassion to everyone around her.
Ella’s legacy is one of unconditional love and selfless care for others. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family will forever be remembered and celebrated.
A private family viewing will be held on January 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Family-Funeral & Cremation in Pensacola, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s Indian School in South Dakota, a cause dear to Ella’s heart.
Ella’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends as a beacon of love, strength, and grace.
