Obituary of marcella maxine paris
Marcy passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 12:20 PM at home on Hospice after a courageous fight with cancer.
Marcy was born on August 30, 1949 in Frankfort, IN to James Albert Rayles and Betty Pauline Rayles (Miller). She attended and graduated Brownsburg High School in Brownsburg, IN. After graduation, she worked for the Indiana State Board of Health in Indianapolis, IN. Through a family member, she met and later married Larry Joe Paris with whom she had two children, Jeffrey Dwayne Paris (Nicki Paris) and Angela Marie (Paris) Britton (Greg Britton). They started out in Montezuma, IN then later moved on to Rockville, IN to raise their family before retiring in Navarre, FL.
Marcy loved the beach and would walk for miles collecting shells. She enjoyed their garden and all the variety of nature Florida offered that would visit their yard. She was an animal lover and loved her guinea pig babies (Daffny), Sandy, and Maggie Marie. She enjoyed online gaming and had hundreds of friends there, some being friends for many years. Marcy always had an artistic flair and was an artist for many years. She also loved writing poetry and had beautiful handwriting. Those that knew her will remember her always smiling and laughing. Those closet to her will always remember her nice warm hugs. She had the best.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jacob Paris; nephews, Steven Rayles and Thomas Law. Marcy is survived by Uncle Richard (Dick) Rayles of Frankfort, IN; sister, Linda Law of Spencer, IN; brother, James Rayles of Bloomington, IN; and grandchildren, Christopher Britton of Navarre, FL, Isabelle Paris and Ella Paris of Bargersville, IN.
Cremation services will take place at Family-Funeral & Cremation of Mary Esther, FL. (850)226-4240. There will be no in person services but instead an online memorial as most friends and family are of distant places.
