Lorraine Frances Dawkins, 90, Miramar Beach passed away peacefully on June 24th surrounded by her family. "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose, all that we love deeply becomes a part of us."- Helen Keller Lorraine retired from the Dept. of the Army after 32 years of dedicated service to the United States government. She realized her dream moving to Avalon Beach Estates in 1998. Her greatest joy was sharing her hospitality. Lorraine loved the beach but most of all she loved family, friends, God, and country. Survivors include 3 daughters, Nancy Lytle, Healdsburg, CA, Susan Wilding, Miramar Beach, Ellen Gruskos, Miramar Beach; son, Scott Parsons, Santa Rosa Beach, FL; brother and nephew, Herk and Justin Lightgcap, Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren, Sophia Gruskos, Miramar Beach, Matthew Lytle, Healdsburg, CA, Madelyn Parsons, Portland, OR. Funeral Services will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church at 11:30 am on Friday, July 22nd at 259 Miramar Beach Drive. A reception will follow.
