Obituary of constance marion borzych

Constance Marion Borzych (Connie), resident of Fort Walton Beach, passed away peacefully at Westwood Nursing and Convalescent Home May 9th, 2022 at the age of 79. Connie was born in Pensacola, FL on December 20, 1942 to Theodore P and Marion L Booras. Connie attended school in Pensacola, graduating from Pensacola High School and Pensacola Junior College. She obtained her degree in education from Troy State University and a masters from Cal State San Bernadino. Connie taught education in Okaloosa County Schools and in the Huntsville Alabama school system. She was a great educator inspiring the best from her students, siblings, children, and grandchildren. After her marriage to Capt. Conrad Borzych at the Eglin Air Force Base Chapel in 1969, she started her journey as military spouse to Tampa, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Saxmundom, England, Apple Valley, CA, and Langen, Germany. She was able to take trips to Norway, Greece, Scotland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, various places in Germany including Berlin before the wall fell, a trip to France including Lourdes, Pisa, Pompei, Venice, Italy and the Vatican, and many other wonderful adventures with her family. In midlife she contracted Multiple Sclerosis, resulting in significant changes to her life activities. Upon her husband's retirement, the family returned to Fort Walton Beach to be near her parents and siblings and to raise her three children. Connie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Conrad; daughters Christina and Patricia; son Todd; daughter-in-law Migle; and grandchildren, Frankie, Adeline, Sofia, Genevieve, and Solen; brother, Theodore; sister, Patricia; brother-in-law, Bill (Morrison); and nephew, Robert. The long period of her being homebound was punctuated by trips to Gainsville and Cambridge for her daughter's and son's graduations and Washington, DC for her son's wedding as well as Rowley, MA for Christmas with her daughter and family. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church and for many years was a regular at local Multiple Sclerosis meetings and enjoyed going to the Fort Walton Beach Library. She was generally a happy girl, even in the years following her contraction of Multiple Sclerosis, perhaps due in part her positive outlook on life and because of the unwavering support she received from her husband throughout the 36 years of life with M.S. As a result of that support, after her many adventures in Europe and around the world, she led a peaceful life with her family here in Fort Walton Beach, Her family remembers her as very kind, caring, and loving woman. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM followed directly by a funeral service at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Doug Halsema officiating, in coordination with Family-Funeral & Cremation of Mary Esther, FL, with burial at a later date in St. Paul, Nebraska.
