Obituary of allen amor sonju

Allen Amor Sonju, 83 years old, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, was called home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Allen was born in Wauwatosa, WI on August 24, 1938, to parents Amor and Myrtle (Porter) Sonju. He graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1955. He married the love of his life, Valerie Rae Cutts on September 24, 1960. He proudly served in the US Army from 1961 to 1965. He continued to serve in the reserves until 1967. Allen retired from American Can Company in 1990. He continued to work in retirement providing landscaping services, an activity he thoroughly enjoyed in Door County, WI. He was an active member of VFW, American Legion and Sons of Norway, he enjoyed attending ELCA Church. Allen is survived by his wife, Valerie; his sister, Suzanne Cutts; daughters, Chrystal (Jack) Junkens, JulieAnn (Ron) Spalsbury, and Yvette (Bob) Braun; six grandchildren, Katrina, Kyle, Adam, Raven, Thomas John and Tera; and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Eileen and brother, Lee. Allen passed peacefully; he was able to continue to tend to his beloved flower gardens until the end.
