Way late, but compelled to try.
Tommie Lyn was a wonderful human being, a fantastic cousin, and an engaging author. Her books are insightful and based in historical events made wonderfully interesting by putting them in entertaining and intriguing settings. She was level-headed and very intelligent. She also valued family, and never lost sight of how important family and heritage are. I just can't say enough good things about her. I had deep respect for and a wonderful friendship with Tommie Lyn, even though we lived hundreds of miles apart and communicated primarily through correspondence and, in her last years, through Facebook. She was truly a wonderful person to know. Her character and personality are reflected in her writing.
She has been, and will be missed. I think of her often.
