Obituary of Tommie Lyn Blackburn

Tommie Lyn Blackburn (Chastain), 78, of Milton, Florida, wife of the late Hoyt Brice Blackburn, passed away peacefully the afternoon of Saturday, August 28,2021. She was born August 3, 1944 in Dalton, Georgia and was the oldest of two daughters born to Vernon and Evelyn Chastain. Soon after her sister Connie was born, the family moved to Munford, Alabama where she met her future husband, Hoyt. They were married and had three sons Hoyt Jr., Thomas. and Anthony. In 1975, the family moved to Milton, Florida where she raised her children, started two businesses and authored over a dozen books. Tommie Lyn was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Evelyn, husband Hoyt and grandson Sky Kellan Sinkus-Blackburn. She is survived by her three sons, Hoyt Jr, Thomas (Amy), and Anthony; grandchildren, Dane, Devin, Desirae and Willow and great grandson, Hunter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:00 -1:00 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Hwy., Pensacola, FL.
