Obituary of Kent Ryan Hensley

It is with great sadness that the family of Kent “The Norseman” Hensley announce his death on February 28, 2023 in Pensacola, Florida. Kent was born June 15, 1969, the youngest child to Russell and Lillian Hensley, in Ravenna, Ohio. He leaves 4 siblings behind. Kent was a free spirit who led an exciting and adventurous life. He was one of those people who enjoyed life to the fullest and people were drawn to his intelligence and witty sense of humor. Kent had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He was a walking encyclopedia…indeed, as a young child he could often be found sitting at the table reading an encyclopedia. He was also a history buff, and he could knowledgeably converse with anyone on any topic. Kent was a professional MMA fighter who went by the moniker “The Norseman.” He travelled the world fighting and following his dreams. Despite being a renowned fighter, Kent was a gentle giant and treated everyone with kindness. Kent was an army veteran who served his country for two years before being honorably discharged. He will be sorely missed by family and friends…we love you Kent! A funeral service will be held for Kent at the Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna, Ohio.
