Obituary of George Joseph Schneider

George Joseph Schneider, age 71, of Niceville, Florida went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 21st, 2023.

George was born August 16, 1951 in Passaic, New Jersey to Bernard G. and Josephine R. (Wehmeyer) Schneider of East Rutherford, New Jersey.  He graduated from East Rutherford High School in 1970 and served in the United States Air Force from 1971 until 1993.  He served during the Vietnam and the Gulf War.  George went on to become a bailiff of Lowndes County, Mississippi from 1994 to 2007.  

George is survived by his children, Mary Turpin (Henry) of North Dakota, Adam Schneider of Wisconsin, Joey Schneider of North Dakota,  and Chris Schneider (Amanda) of North Dakota; grandchildren, Miranda, Draven, Zack, D'Artagnan, Mason, Briana, Madilyn, and Austin; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bernie Schneider, Carol Parkerton, Doris Langbein, Paula Booker, and Bill Schneider; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlys; parents, Bernard and Josephine (Wehmeyer) Schneider; and sister, Ann Hobson.

Friends received Friday, May 23, 2023, 3:00PM at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 101 Mary Esther Blvd., Mary Esther, FL 32569 (850)226-4240.  Full Military Honors will be conducted at 4:00PM by the USAF (Eglin) Honors Detail followed by a Memorial Service conducted by Col. Mitch Vantzler (Ret.), Elder, Forest Lake Baptist Church of Niceville, FL officiating.
